Netflix 2021 Maid Ending Explained, Margaret Qualley plays a woman cleaning houses, and not always getting by, in an adaptation of a best-selling memoir. “Maid” begins just after the last straw has been broken. Alex, a 25-year-old aspiring writer living north of Seattle, lies awake watching the man who just ended an argument with her by punching a hole in a wall. When she’s sure he’s asleep, she gathers their 2-year-old daughter, Maddy, and tiptoes out of the mobile home they share. She and Maddy are about to be homeless for the first time, but not the last. #maid #netflix #endingexplained Subscribe To Our Channel: /c/MoviesVibes Movies Vibes thousands of videos on latest hollywood news, Reviews, Top 10 lists, Origins, Tips, How To’s, Reviews, Commentary and more on Pop Culture, Celebrity, Movies, Music, TV, Film, Video Games, Politics, News, Comics, Superheroes. @waqarcpm43213 years ago Several reviews have already affirmed the outstanding quality of acting and the skill of the scripting and direction in this 10 part drama series. It is this was very worth watching not indulging in any extreme version of what is true/false good/bad or right/wrong, but always coming back to samples of good humans going through things in relation to one another, more or less sensitive, more or less aware, but naturally interconnected in ways which are unusually free of stereotypes.
just watch it when you have time. It is so good

@theeditors72063 years ago A really good, heartwarming, inspirational, and a work of art movie. I loved all of the characters, especially the lead actress and also the it impacted me in ways i didnt expect and i have learned so, so much, because i also experienced emotional abuse in the past. The lead character showed so much kindness and bravery. Made me laugh, cry, and helped me reflect and process on what ive been through. Its so good i finished it in one sitting. Its definitely worth the watch and i would watch it again and again. Thank you for this movie. @justwatcher56573 years ago so many of her life experiences myself and many other young women I have know have traveled her journey. the story is so real The capacity of love women have is unmeasurable and their tolerance to endure so much pain and still move forward for th of the sake of their children and walk out & away but still care for the men they love and some how forgive them evident in the supporting cast and the roles they played . the writers must have deep personal insight as what it is to be a child living with bipolar mothers and fathers who were drunk and abusive. One time I was told that children who were emotionally or physically abuse are victims but without effective therapy and supportive environment they become victimizers. Sustaining relationships or having people in their lives be able to sustain their relationship with them are rare. I was watching it till 5 Am in the morning. it got too real for me as a custodial grandmother for two out of 8 children born to a relative who self medicated due to neglect mental and physical abuse with abandonment and terror like seen in this series. The night terrors if your eve heard a child scream in their sleep from a night terror its something you can never forget. It felt so sad seeing my grandchildren's life and future being played out on TV. Kudos to the whole team in Netflix series Maid. thank you for shedding a bright light in the dark room of child abuse. .. ...Expand 14

@waqarmasood20163 years ago Magnificent series, with a tremendous sadness, with great acting, an extremely well written script, the triangle of maddy the baby girl, alex her mother back to the script, you may replace the second man with woman (in philip larkins this be the verse) and you have netflixs new 10-part drama maid in a nutshell. Inspired by stephanie lands memoir maid: hard work, low pay and a mothers will to survive, it tells the story of 23-year-old alex (margaret qualley) who, with her two-year-old daughter maddy (anappealing rylea nevaeh whittet and i speak as one who finds the charms of all onscreen and most real-life children resistible) flees an emotionally abusive relationship with maddys father, sean (nick robinson)
what follows is a part rags-to-riches or at least to not-rags story, as alex starts to piece her life back together via grit, shelters, the occasional kindness of strangers and a cleaning job with a rackety firm run by an unforgiving woman named yolanda (tracy vilar) embedded within it, however, is an unflinching anatomisation of the red tape that surrounds every effort to access the (already minimal) help supposedly on offer to desperate women and their children, and the unfitness for purpose of every aspect of the state that is meant to offer succour. Alex picks her way through the demoralising labyrinth of forms, intrusive questions, document requirements, finding herself in one terrible catch-22 situation after another until a combination of persistence and luck enable her to start a journey back to stability for them both.
it dramatises the precariousness of existence without a fixed abode, a proper income or family support and conjures a world rarely seen in real life or on screen. It illuminates all thethat having children brings. The slightest mishap, without the money or resources to correct it, can only snowball into disaster. Often, we see the running total of alexs finances, ticking down to zero before she can secure what she needs to get the next days cash food for herself, petrol for the car she needs for work, the co-pay for maddys daycare let alone start saving towards a rental deposit.
but over the 10 hours, the series walks an admirably fine line between showing us the reality of poverty in america (which is not to say that things are any better here) and creating misery porn. Alex and all those around her are fully realised characters especially her undiagnosed bipolar mother paula (qualleys own mother andie macdowell) gradually fleshed out and always played and treated with sympathy. Even when, particularly in seans case, it is hard for the viewer to feel sympathetic towards him

@blackhaze213 years ago Good film but i felt this series was very misandry to me. Most of the men in the series were not good people and just stereotypical.
sean- the hank- former abuser and absentee father.
basil- the con mantaking advantage of the paula, stealing her money
nate- the simp guy who drops alex after he realized he didnt have a shot.
the goofy pep teacher- the clueless man out of touch teacher trying to teach mothers how to be better mothers.
james- reginas husband who divorces her when he cant give him a baby. This guy originally left his wife to marry regina.
luis- the no good handyman that initially refuses to help her black mold problem.
miach- the second scum bag boyfriend of paula who clearly is using her and makes no secret of that.
if you noticed all the men either makes things more difficult for her throughout the film. The women are the one that helped and saved alex. The men are mostly the cause of her problems

the only thing someone said how un-real the rich ladys help id="hidden28" was. I only saw that alex received some help from a good person rather than bad person, bad advise, bad luck. Cos if you keep trying to get help recently you' ll find it. The series just made it come from a rich lady!

@Malthizar8 months ago Yeah, by episode 2 i was done. With this wishy washy definition of abuse anyone can claim abuse at any time. Hell, sean can argue he was abused by the it' s kind of disgusting that a woman can screamwhen no actual abuse happened. If shethat he could have legit hurt her during his drug fueled rage, then fair enough. Instead, this seems very " you weretype of abuse, which should be a slap in the face to any dv victim with a caved in skull or shattered jaw. ...Expand

@evianca56923 years ago I think alex is just too selfish, she didnt even think about sean, like at all,
plus leading him on into thinking that theyre gonna get back tog shes kinda toxic here just to get what she wants, she lied. Sean has to work double triple shift just to make money just to support her and maddy until he miss his meetings (she didnt care although she heard what his dad been talking) like she secretly had another plans to leave after all sean try to make amends. Like when sean got fired as if she didnt hear that.
like her father have changed and everything but shes just being rude to her dad all the time its just pissing me off and she just make things all about herself. She didnt care if sean falls as long as she can fly.
i think the cycle of abuse repeats itself due to her own fault for not trying to try to forgive his dad or actually investigate what really happened, like ask her dad and hears him out (cuz her mom is bipolar and the memory is to short to make conclusion)even her mom said her dad too try to locked her up too into psych ward) or even try to have empath and take his dads help so that both can fly,
i dont agree how this series only focus on alex instead of really shows sean and her dads pov
