IKEA Gown: 1780’s Split Bum Pad and Petticoat

This video is the second part in making a 1780’s Italian gown with the American Duchess Guide to 18th Century Dressmaking. Many in the costuming communities have made their own “IKEA Gowns” because it is a great cheap way to get fabric in an 18th century appropriate pattern (Just search #IKEAGown on Instagram for inspiration). In this video I will be creating the petticoat and foundational bum pad which will give me the correct silhouette for the 1780’s *Disclaimer* I am very much an amateur seamstress and make many mistakes.
