Buy book here https://amzn.to/33Esxlu The video above is Jim Laurie 8 mm film of the US Embassy Evacuation from Phnom Penh Cambodia April 12, 1975 After supporting the regime that overthrew independent Cambodia's first leader Norodom Sihanouk, the United States Government ordered the closure and the evacuation of the US Embassy in something called Operation Eagle Pull. US Marine helicopters from the USS Okinawa in the Gulf of Thailand carried out an evacuation which included diplomats, journalists, and a small number of Cambodians. Some Khmer invited on the rescue mission failed to go. Five days later the extreme communist movement Khmer Rouge took the Cambodian capital, began expelling more than one million city people and embarked on a nearly four year period of rule which led to millions of deaths.
