We know to regroup in subtraction when there are not enough ones or not enough tens to subtract from the minuend. Sometimes we will need to regroup more than once in a subtraction problem. Remember to write the corrected number when regrouping. When we cross out a ten to regroup 1 ten as 10 ones, we write the corrected number above the tens digit. When we regroup 1 hundred as 10 tens, the tens digit will be corrected again. We solve two subtraction equations that involve regrouping hundreds and tens. We find missing digits in subtraction problems by using addition.
